hello and welcome. nectar & nest granola co started many years ago to create a granola mix to add to yogurt that wasn’t full of extra ingredients and unnecessary preservatives.

our story took flight from humble beginnings, sharing jars of our signature mix, the sparrow, as heartfelt gifts to our friends and family. whether for Christmas, birthdays, or simply as a thoughtful surprise to brighten a dreaded Monday, each jar was packed with love and care—fresh from our kitchen.

in 2023, our wife and mother was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. with cancer came periods of time being stuck in the house or out in the backyard often watching and listening to the many birds that visited - cardinals, bluejays, sparrows, and robins. what she wanted most was to have a hummingbird find its way to our little oasis where cancer treatments and life stressors didn’t matter. shortly before her first follow-up appointment while in remission, a hummingbird finally made its appearance. a sign that all was well.

after a 9 month fight with AML, Dawn Robynne spread her wings to go beyond what is here on earth. the hummingbird that appeared just shortly before her passing was more likely a sign that whatever forces, powers, or god might be out there, they wanted her to know that everything would be alright.

nectar & nest is dedicated to her and serves as a way to honor Dawn’s unwavering commitment to spreading love, support, and community. just as hummingbirds rely on nectar to survive, we rely on our nest to navigate through life’s challenges. we hope that nectar & nest can be that source of comfort for you too.
